Partnership and Human Rights Seminar in Helsinki 2008The most important event for international experience sharing and learning was Abilis Partnership Seminar, together with Human Rights Seminar ‘'Added Value'' organized by The Center for Human Rights of Persons with Disabilities (Vammaisten Ihmisoikeuskeskus VIKE) in Helsinki from 19 to 24th of May. There were 16 delegates from 7 countries and 8 Partner Organisations attending the event. Mobility India, MI, National Union of Disabled Persons of Uganda, NUDIPU, Almatynskoe Gorodskoe Obchestvo Invalidov, AGOI, Kazakstan, Ethiopian Center for Disability and Development, ECDD, Information Centre on Disability, ICD, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, Shirikisho La Vyama Vya Watu Wenye Ulemavu Tanzania SHIVYAWATA, Tanzania Federation of Disabled People Organization – Mwanza, Cambodian Disabled People´s Organization, CDPO, Kambodzha, Handicap International Bangladesh, HI, Bangladesh. The whole Abilis training group also visited Ministry for Foreign Affairs and met some respected authorities such as Mrs Marjatta Rasi. The seminar week ended with the participation of World Village festival.
