Projektit
Abiliksen myöntämä projektirahoitus on monelle vammaisjärjestölle ja pienyritykselle ensimmäinen mahdollisuus suunnitella ja toteuttaa oma projekti. Rahoitamme vuosittain noin 200 projektia, joiden kautta vammaiset ihmiset ja heidän järjestönsä oppivat uusia asioita ja taitoja. Projektien suunnittelu, toteutus, raportointi ja seuranta opettavat hakijajärjestöjä toimimaan ulkomaalaisen rahoittajan kanssa, mikä parantaa niiden toimintaedellytyksiä myös tulevaisuudessa.
Suomen kehityspoliittisten tavoitteiden mukaisesti Abilis on avustustoiminnassaan sitoutunut edistämään sukupuolten tasa-arvoa, vammaisten ihmisten asemaa ja yhdenvertaisuutta, ilmastokestävyyttä ja vähäpäästöistä kehitystä. Kiinnitämme avustustoiminnassamme erityistä huomiota siihen, miten projektit edistävät vammaisten ihmisten oikeuksia ja yhdenvertaisia osallistumismahdollisuuksia, sukupuolten tasa-arvoa sekä vammaisten naisten oikeuksia ja asemaa. Lisäksi arvioimme projekteja ilmastokestävyyden näkökulmasta ja annamme tarvittaessa suosituksia, joilla projektien mahdollisia negatiivisia ilmastovaikutuksia voidaan vähentää.
Abilis myöntää taloudellista tukea vammaisten ihmisten omille järjestöille ja pienyrityksille. Avustuksen saamiseksi vammaisryhmän on täytettävä Abiliksen hakemuslomake ja toimitettava tarvittavat liitteet Abilis-säätiöön. Paikalliset edustajamme auttavat vammaisryhmiä kaikissa taloudellisen tuen hakemiseen ja raportointiin liittyvissä asioissa sekä vierailevat projekteissa säännöllisesti ja arvioivat projektien edistymistä. Lisäksi he järjestävät koulutusta, joka tukee projektin toteuttamista ja vammaisten omien taitojen kehittymistä. Seuraamme projekteja koko niiden elinkaaren ajan ja huolehdimme siitä, että myönnetty avustus käytetään oikein.
Abiliksen projektiprosessi
Seuranta
Abilis-säätiö seuraa tiiviisti projektin aloitusta ja toteutusta, ja järjestää tarvittavaa koulutusta vammaisryhmälle, mikä tukee taitojen kehittymistä ja projektin toteuttamista. Mikäli Abilis-säätiö havaitsee varojen väärinkäyttöä, myönnetty avustus peritään takaisin.

Vammaisryhmä täyttää hakemus-lomakkeen ja toimittaa sen liitteineen Abilis-säätiöön.
Hakemuksen käsittely
Abilis-säätiö käsittelee hakemuksen, tarkistaa hakijan taustan ja projektin toteuttamis-kelpoisuuden.
Avustuspäätös
Abilis-säätiön hallitus tekee avustuspäätöksen.
Sopimus
Abilis-säätiö ja vammaisryhmä allekirjoittavat projektin toteuttamista, raportointia ja seurantaa koskevan sopimuksen. Kun molemmat osapuolet ovat allekirjoittaneet sopimuksen, Abilis-säätiö siirtää ensimmäisen erän avustussummasta vammaisryhmän pankkitilille.
Raportointi
Avustusta saanut vammaisryhmä laatii 1–2 kirjallista raporttia projektin toteutuksesta Abilis-säätiölle. Säätiö käsittelee raportit ja maksaa seuraavan erän avustussummasta vammaisryhmän pankkitilille, kun raportti on hyväksytty.
